Though our program draws only twice on this resource, we heartily recommend a splendid 13-CD reissue, Great [British] Cathedral Organs [EMI 0852952] http://www.arkivmusic.com/classical/album.jsp?album_id=652998. Initially released individually in LP format in the 1960s, these excellent stereophonic recordings represent organs in the cathedrals of Liverpool, Gloucester, Coventry, Exeter, Edinburgh (St. Giles, former organ), Llandaff, Durham, Hereford, Salisbury, Norwich, Ely, Worcester, Canterbury, Lincoln and Chester, plus York Minster, Selby Abbey, and Westminster Abbey, Westminster Cathedral, and St. Paul’s Cathedral in London.
