Rootin’ for the Youngsters…from seventh grade to graduate school, aged 12 to 21, these talented players point the way towards the pipe organ’s future.

The following three organists, Christian Lane, Wood, and Teardo were past winners of the Augustana Arts/Reuter National Undergraduate Organ Competition held at Augustana Lutheran Church in Denver, CO on the 1985 Reuter.

J.S. BACH: Prelude in a, S. 543 –Christian Lane [2002].

OLIVIER MESSIAEN: Joie et Clarte, from Les corps glorieuxJeffrey Wood [2004].

J.S. BACH: Fantasy and Fugue in c, S. 537 –Frederick Teardo [2001].

The following performers were student participants in the 2006 Summer Interlochen Arts Camp and performed on the 2006 Reuter in Dendrinos Chapel, Interlochen, MI

FELIX MENDELSSOHN: Allegro con brio, 1st movement, from Sonata in B-flat, Opus 65, number 4 –Benton Blasingame, 11th grade.

FELIX MENDELSSOHN: Prelude in G, Opus 37, number 2 –Karianne Burns, 11th grade.

J.S. BACH: Prelude in g, S. 558 –Peter Godart, 8th grade.

JEAN LANGLAIS: Prelude modal –Alexis Vanzalen, 11th grade.

DENNIS JANZER: Galeries Ancien –Roderick Demmings, 7th grade.

FELIX MENDELSSOHN: Prelude in d, Opus 37, number 2 –Caroline Robinson, 9th grade

Chelsea Chen is also a past winner of the Augustana Arts/Reuter National Undergraduate Organ Competition.
