Paul Jacobs, is recognized for his prodigious technique and what the Baltimore Sun has called “an unbridled joy of music-making.” He performs frequently throughout the world.

Jacobs came to international attention when, at the age of 23, he performed the complete organ works of J.S. Bach in a spectacular 18-hour non-stop marathon.

Jacobs studied at The Curtis Institute of Music in Philadelphia and later earned a Master of Music degree and Artist Diploma from Yale. In 2003, Jacobs was invited to join the faculty of The Juilliard School, and the following year was named chairman of the organ department.

 

Hans Fagius, a native of Sweden, studied the organ at the Royal College of Music in Stockholm and continued his studies in Paris. While still a student, he won international organ competitions in Leipzig and in Stockholm.

Fagius concentrates on music from the Baroque and Romantic periods. He performs regularly throughout Europe, Australia and North America. Concurrently with his career as a performer and recording artist, Fagius teaches organ at the Royal Danish Conservatory in Copenhagen.

 

Stephen Tharp‘s career includes performing, recording and teaching. He commissions and premières numerous new compositions for the organ. Tharp is also a leading transcriber, having adapted for the organ works by Bach, Handel, Shostakovich, Copland, Liszt, Stravinsky and others.

The Chicago native received a Bachelor of Arts degree in Organ Performance and in Piano Performance and Accompaniment from Illinois College in Jacksonville, Ill. He went on to earn a Master of Music degree from Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill., and later pursued private studies with Jean Guillou in Paris.

Tharp has taught at the Julliard, at Northwestern, at Yale and at music colleges throughout Germany.

 

Jean-Baptiste Robin, leads a busy life as concert organist, composer and teacher. He is the titular organist on the historic Henri Clicquot organ at the Cathedral in Poitiers, France, and serves on the faculty at the National Conservatory, Versailles Region.

Robin began his organ studies at the National Conservatory of Music and Dance in Paris and continued in composition at King’s College of Music in London.

His award-winning discography includes the complete works of Louis Marchand, Felix Mendelssohn and François Couperin. Robin himself has more than a dozen original compositions to his credit.
